Seeking Mary’s intercession amid a worldwide pandemic
On May 1, Canadian bishops, in solidarity with bishops in the U.S., consecrate their individual dioceses and eparchies to Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, seeking her maternal protection during the coronavirus pandemic.
Pastors, families, groups, individuals and other faith communities are invited to join the consecration as part of the global effort to unite in faith and prayer.
Join Edmonton Archbishop Smith Richard online for a livestreamed Mass on Friday, May 1, at 9 a.m, where he will offer special prayers for healing and protection at the same time as other Alberta Bishops. In this video, Archbishop Smith explains what that Marian consecration means.
